Outside of Silicon Valley, Israel continues to be the leading spot of Venture Capital investments. In 2005 alone, the Israeli technology sector raised more than $1.3 billion with over 50 percent of those funds coming from foreign investors. Some 30 Silicon Valley VC's invest in Israeli startups and maintain dynamic relations with local VC's and entrepreneurs in Israel. 

 

What new technology trends are attracting VC's to Israel today? What investment models are they considering when investing there? How have recent geopolitical events in Israel and the region affected them in their investment strategy, if at all?
